Call for Presentations are closing soon |
Call for Presentations is about to bid farewell in just under three weeks’ time. If you've been brewing up a storm of ideas, inspiring presentations, or performances, now is the time to let them burst forth at WDSC 2024!
If you would like to do a presentation at the WDSC2024, you need to attend in person.
All you have to do is submit an abstract. We have many options which include:
The theme for WDSC 2024, is ‘Together We Can: celebrating diversity and inclusion’ with the following streams:
1. Health and therapeutic advances 2. Education and employment 3. Advocacy and social inclusion 4. Family life 5. Personal development
The Call for Presentations (Abstracts) is due to close on Friday 2 February 2024. |

Introducing our Third Plenary SpeakerDr Jasneek Chawla |

We are excited to announce that Dr Jasneek Chawla will be joining us as a Plenary Speaker at WDSC 2024.
Dr Jasneek Chawla is a Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Specialist at Queensland Children’s Hospital, Brisbane and leads the Kids Sleep Research Group at the Child Health Research Centre, University of Queensland. |

Her research interests include sleep in children with complex disability and the development of novel measurement tools for paediatric sleep medicine. A/Prof Chawla holds a Children’s Hospital Foundation, Early Career Fellowship and is leading a multi-centre MRFF funded study focused on improving the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders in children with neurodisability.
Her PhD work focused on sleep problems in children with Down syndrome and provided the foundations for her ongoing research and forged a strong connection with Down syndrome Queensland and Down syndrome Australia. A/Prof Chawla is a board director for the Australian Sleep Association and is chair of the Education Committee and deputy chair of the conference committee. |
